Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson were some of the first celebrities to be diagnosed with COVID-19. They released a statement on March 11 through social media.

Idris Elba

The British actor and musician said he has tested positive for COVID-19 on March 16 in a video posted on social media and that, although he had no symptoms so far, he was isolating himself from others. On March 21, Elba’s wife, Sabrina Dhowre, revealed she also tested positive for COVID-19.

Utah Jazz

The NBA suspended its season after Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert tested positive for the coronavirus. The NBA player was severely criticized after he mockingly touched the microphones and voice recorders at a media event on March 9, three days before he was diagnosed.

Sophie Grégoire Trudeau

Sophie Grégoire Trudeau is the wife of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. She tested positive for the coronavirus on March 12. Justin Trudeau and his wife both remained in isolation for two weeks.

The Quantum of Solace actor revealed she has tested positive in an Instagram post on Sunday, March 16.
“Locked up at home after having tested positive for Coronavirus. I’ve been ill for almost a week now. Fever and fatigue are my main symptoms. Take care of yourself and do take this seriously,” she wrote in the Instagram caption.
On Sunday, the actress shared an update on Instagram and said that she was “completely recovered.”

Callum Hudson-Odoi

The Chelsea soccer team player tested positive for COVID-19 last week. “As you may be aware I had the virus for the last couple of days, which I have recovered from,” he said in a video posted on Twitter on Friday, March 13.

“Thank you for all your good wishes,” he wrote in the Tweet. “As I said in the video I’m feeling good and hope to see you all soon!!”

The 41-year-old actor, who played Tormund on Game of Thrones, tested positive for the new coronavirus on March 17. He shared on Instagram that he will be self-isolating at home “for as long as it takes.”

Rachel Matthews, who voiced Honeymaren in “Frozen 2,″ tested positive for the novel coronavirus, she shared on Instagram Stories on March 16 that she had tested positive for COVID-19 and is in quarantine.
