A lot of people are bumped about not leaving the house. Almost everything is closed due to the coronavirus, but one thing’s for sure: You can still stream.
When you turn on the TV, there’s a lot of choices to choose from that sometimes it can be too much. To help you out, here are six shows you can binge-watch if you’re stuck indoors.
- The OC
This recommendation is a straight-up nostalgic throwback. Trust me, watching this again as an adult is an experience.
The O.C is the kind of gift that keeps on giving — especially when re-watching as an adult. You see, the show is sprinkled with in-jokes, references, and celebrity cameos that we probably all missed the first time around.
- The Vampire Diaries
The acting is cheesy, the style is very dated (the show’s first episode aired in 2009), and the fashion is a not-so-welcome blast from the past, but all of this only adds to the charm. With a whopping 171 episodes over eight seasons, this show is certainly a time commitment and very suited for working from home. It doesn’t matter how many times you’ve seen it, the storyline sucks you in every time.
- Pandemic
Well, this show seems pretty relevant. Released in January 2020, this docuseries looks at the people on the front lines of the battle against influenza. You’ll see first-hand their efforts to try and stop a global outbreak. “When we talk about another flu pandemic happening, it’s not a matter of if, but when.” There are six episodes, each about 45 minutes.
- Black Comedy
Black Comedy is an irreverent comedy sketch show that boasts some of the funniest Indigenous comedians in the country.
It’s funny no matter who you are.
But if you’re Indigenous, the gags will hit a little harder.
And if you’re an Indigenous tertiary student or know someone who is, you’ll get a real kick out of episode one of season four (the final season).
- Stranger Things
We finally got an inkling of Stranger Things 4, including one major character, reveal. To catch up on the out-of-nowhere series that became a Netflix mega-sensation, take a thrilling trip through seasons 1-3 now.
- The Morning Show
We’re still waiting for that Friends reunion, but Jennifer Aniston and her Friends sister, Reese Witherspoon, teamed up for this intensely watchable drama about a morning news show rocked with a #MeToo scandal.
