Why make normal onion rings when you can make them crusted with potato chips and filled with cheese?
Ingredients
- 1 small pack of potato chips
- 1 onion
- 1 slice mozzarella cheese, cut into strips
- 1 slice cheddar cheese, cut into strips
- Flour, for dredging

- 1 egg, beaten
- Tomato sauce (optional)
- Ketchup (optional)
Steps
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Put potato chips in a food-safe plastic bag, and crush until they are crumbs.
- Slice the onion into 1/2-inch-thick chunks, and separate the rings.
- Arrange cheese strips inside the onion rings. Repeat, alternating with the mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
- Dip the onion rings in flour to coat. Then dip them in the beaten egg.
- Thoroughly coat the rings in potato chip crumbs.
- Bake for 15 minutes.
- Enjoy with tomato sauce or ketchup.
