The effect produced by foods with a high glycemic index, in general,
depends on the amount of sugar present in the food we eat, so the more the food is rich in sugars and therefore in carbohydrates, the higher the blood sugar level will be and the greater it will be. the insulin peak after eating and the insulin peak is one of the causes of weight gain and fat accumulation in the body.
The foods not recommended that have a high glycemic index are the
refined ones such as white bread, normal and not whole pasta, flour and flour-based preparations such as leavened products and all fruit and vegetables with high percentages of sugar:
